Detailed Historical Chronicle & Foundations
Born in Termez in 209 AH (824 CE), Imam al-Tirmidhi studied under Imam al-Bukhari, Imam Muslim, and Abu Dawud. He traveled across Khurasan, Iraq, and the Hijaz, memorizing tens of thousands of hadiths. He was celebrated for his profound memory and piety, weeping so copiously out of love for the Sunnah that he lost his sight in his later years. He passed away in Sherobod near Termez in 279 AH.
