Born in Qasr-i Hinduvan (renamed Qasr-i Arifan) near Bukhara in 1318 CE, Khwaja Bahauddin received the spiritual legacy of the Khwajagan (Masters of Central Asia) from Sayyid Amir Kulal and the Uwaysi spiritual presence of Khwaja Abd al-Khaliq Ghijduwani. He reformed spiritual practice by emphasizing silent remembrance of God (Dhikr Khafi), adherence to the Sunnah, and honest craftsmanship without monastic isolation. The complex was expanded by Khan Abdulaziz Khan in 1544 and restored as a national spiritual heritage monument.
