Physical Posture & Alignment
Standing upright facing the Qibla (Qiyam). Raise both hands to earlobes or shoulders with open palms facing the Qibla.
What to Recite in this Position
اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ
"Allahu Akbar"
Meaning: Allah is the Greatest.
Essential Fiqh Rule: Obligatory opening pillar (Rukn). All worldly speech, food, and movement become prohibited upon uttering this.
